Fun Run Update! The Black Forest Hills Elementary School Fun Run was a HUGE success! We raised over $40,000 for our school! WOW! Funds raised will go back into our school in the form of supplies, programs, support, and technology, benefiting all students. This is a great example of our school and community working together and it exceeded our expectations!
Prize winners will be receiving notification of their prizes soon. Thank you to all the students, families, staff members and our PTCO members for your hard work and dedication! Book Fair Update ! Books for our library! Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Book Fair. It was a huge success! We appreciate all of the excitement around the dress up days, the door decorating contest, the Grandparents/Loved Ones day and the Ice Cream Social. Thanks to all of you we made over $6,000 in Scholastic Dollars that will be spent in our library and in our classrooms. In addition, your generous donations to the library raised almost $950, which resulted in 110 new books that will be on the shelves in the next few weeks! Huge thanks to Kara Gallagher, Jen Moore and Carolyn McCombs Co-Chairing the Book Fair. A special thank you to a few people who were able to help out for several shifts during the week: Jamie Simpson, Tami Dunlap, and Susie Cho. And thank you to Lisa Mooney of ReMax Masters for sponsoring our Ice Cream Social. Story Book Ball Update Did everyone have a blast at the Story Book Ball? We had such a great turn out and collected lots of diapers for the Kindergarten Service project - Newborns in Need.
